Tour de France day 1 - Arrivee

After a more enjoyable leg from Abu Dhabi to Paris we had a quick move through customs etc to meet Margie and Michael. The CDG airport experience was great - only a few minutes to clear customs, baggage collection and security. Our Merc shuttle was there waiting and we were in our apartment and battling the Saturday crowds before we knew. Best comment came from Mick "I wouldn't like to live here and become so used to this that I wouldn't notice how great it is ".Walked just down the road to Notre Dame where a service was underway, then a stroll through main street of Ile de St Louis. Found a nice restaurant called l'Orangerie and stumbled through the ordering process. Got back to apartment for early night. It's right on the corner of R Sebastopol and R RIvoli, so pretty busy. Didn't notice as we all were dog-tired after a very long day. Internet wifi not working in apartment so if can't be fixed by us will need to visit Maccas to update. Owners attitude is that you fix it yourself.
