The Tour Directors plans have come in for some praise as stay in Amiens was so good and now the route into Normandy has worked well. After a morning look at the inside of the magnificent cathedral at Amiens, Michael took over duties to drive the Pelaton into Normandy. Lunch stop was Honfleur which I knew to be a. popular spot, but not how popular on a sunny Saturday. The place was packed and we have never seen so many restaurants crammed into one space. The harbour is collection of narrow 4-5 story buildings that were a favorite subject of many artists. After a little shop and look around we had a lovely seafood lunch with Gail especially excited by her shellfish.
A drive on to Bayeux and our little digs for two nights - Chateau de Belfontaine.
Are warm afternoon had us having a few drinks in the grounds before a stroll into Bayeux for a little look and dinner.
Another magical day!
