Today dawned overcast and drizzly again, but Tour Director was awake early to set today's course. Grumbles from the Pelaton were ignored as we set out on demanding hill stage through the Latin Quarter and St Germain de Prez. The days highlights were a interesting look at The Pantheon where many of France's national heroes are buried and a stroll through the Jardin de Luxembourg. A battle back along Rue Napoleon demanded a long lunch at the excellent Au Saint Benoit before a mind-boggling shop at the local Monoprix food hall to cater at home tonight - the selection of cheeses, terrines etc were amazing.
Can't possibly beat the experience of last nights meal with the singing owner Chef of a little place on Ile St Louis topped off by setting Margie's creme broulee alight. 13 euro for 3 courses and coffee should have warned, but food was secondary to Claude's comedic performance.
