Tour de France Day 2 - d'Orsay
First Sunday of the month is free day at museums - add to that the last day of holidays and the crowds were out in force. A drizzly start didn't stop the line for the Louvre being equal to a grand final crowd. When a sign was put out that it was a 2 hour wait, tour leader decided a try for Musee d'Orsay might be in order. The line was also long but moved quickly enough. We made the most of it, staying through lunch. Its my favorite art museum and interested to see it changed around so much since last visit in 2009, with many changes of the paintings on display. Bayleys were impressed by paintings, but maybe not our tour guide efforts. Afternoon stroll back through Tuileries and down Rue de Rivoli.
